347 / Mike Roe: Technological Innovation Center
Mike Roe from Cuyahoga Falls; “I'm a recent graduate from Kent State University's Master of Architecture program. While perusing my bachelor's degree, I launched my first company in order to afford living on my own. My education was constructed from the unique perspective of a starving student and also a new business owner. During the pursuit of my master's degree at Kent, I launched my second company. Parallel to my studies at Kent, I developed this design and completed my first commercial build out for this business. With my newly crafted skills I now intend to pursue interest in digital fabrication methods and construction.”

Name of Project: Technological Innovation Center
Project Description: This design studies the social structure surrounding emerging technologies. It proposes micro scale control of technological innovation void of the ascending political and financial implications that restrict corporations. The program supports maker spaces, fabrication resources, autonomous boat tours, and a digital environment; a new spacial typology hybridizes real and virtual worlds and provides an interface between human and system.
