What if we could take what we already know about traditional housing, group programmatic spaces so as to avoid any unnecessary redundancies and create a more efficient use of space that is specific to the characteristics of communal living?"
Submission #152 | Tiakum Ao: Beacon — "Located along the south side of the Arno River in Florence Italy, the proposed waterfront projects can be seen as beacons, attracting residents and tourists alike. Circulating pedestrians from the dense north to the more tranquil south. Translucent panels rise around the facade illustrating lightshows, and interactive play. Qualities of heavy and light are characterized with the use of light steel framing, and heavy translucent program.
Dicky Wijaya: Uthik Klithik — This project is a competition entry held in Surabaya, Indonesia. We are naming it "Uthik Klithik". Uthik Klithik is a playing installation which is made from bamboo to attract visitors for an abandoned amusement park located in Surabaya.
