Submission #303 | Hazem Talaat: [Re]thinking [Re]drawing : [Un]finished Architecture — “[re]thinking [re]drawing architecture: is a visual study based on photography research, on the potential value of [un]finished buildings in Mediterranean countries specifically Southern Italy and Spain. Where incomplete ruins act as an invitation to manifest unorthodox thoughts of completion, utilizing new experimentation on a technique of [re]drawing.”
Submission #300 | Matteo Serra, Mirko Santoni, Andrea Ruggieri: Kaira Kora — “The Griot safeguards the community’s tradition that is conserved through the usage of the words. This poet’s tale is accompanied by an instrument called “Kora”. A sacred place should play a similar role and become the “Instrument of Worship”. The project’s aim lies in the belief that a single holy place can host different religions (muslims, catholics and animists), a single instrument able to emit different notes of a same chord, a peace’s harp: Kaira Kora.”
Submission #298 | Federico Monti and Francesco Mura: Galaxy Tower — In one of the most famous drawings in the world, the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci is symbolically represented as the most sublime of unions, the one between art and science. There are the figures of the square and the circle that refer respectively to the Earth and the universe, placing at the center of this union the pulsating and signifying heart of the work: the man.
Submission #252 | Rei Celo: Two Worlds — The concept of these two worlds came as a result of a series of charcoal drawings that show the process and rituals of tea preparation. Looking at these drawings there are two states that were always present throughout the process, the condensation and the liquid state. This made me think of two different "worlds" that ended up as two different programs/architectural spaces in my project.

Submission #189 | Luca Luigi Pirovano: University Island Competition — "The project stems from the desire to preserve the island's identity, maintaining the peculiar presence of uncultivated green, redeveloping existing ruins. At the same time it was necessary to create a space that was strongly characterized to increase the sense of belonging to an university campus."
Yara Abboud and Roxani Maragkoudaki: University Island — A competition called for the abandoned island of Poveglia in the Venetian Lagoon to be transformed into a university campus. Preserving the landscape of the island is one of the main strategies in the proposal.
Federico Fauli: Nobody's Land — Nobody’s Land is a project born from an apocalyptic concept. It represents the lack of a vision, the appeal for a utopian renewal and the constant search for new ways of living. A project set in the nowadays Bangladesh reality, in a site located in the South-West area of Dhaka, surrounded by the Buriganga river.
