Plymouth is a city that has found itself lost in it's direction and disconnected from it's identity. The identity of Plymouth lies with the ocean, but the city does not make use of the oceans full potential."
Submission #96 | Julia Cistelecan: The Mausoleum for The Lost at Sea — Inspired by Plato’s invented island of Atlantis that fell out of favour with the gods and famously submerged into the Atlantic Ocean, the Mausoleum for the lost at Sea taps into the naval history of Greenwich and investigates the idea of loss and memory.

How architecture today can capture the essence of the spaces and meanings behind those spaces and convey them in a different manner to inspire a connection between people and the place they inhabit was the key idea.
