Submission #293 | Sergey Nadtochiy: Seductive Ecologies — “Because of large number of public buildings including universities, hotels and hospitals, Bloomsbury has one of highest wasted heat rates in London. Therefore this area has been chosen to test new ways of heat resources use and mediation proposed in this project of an art school. The site of the project takes space of former district heating system on Coram street next to Brunswick centre and is marked by 40m high concrete chimney, underground Piccadilly line which crosses the site is also used as one of heat resources.”

Submission #195 | Varuzhan Kochkoyan: Airport Hotel Café — The “Airport Hotel Cafe” was an assignment for Interior Design class. A plan with a bare walls, provided by the professor, was the only “fact” to consider. Such factors as the location and purpose of the building, ceiling height and budget were all hypothetical.

Submission #114 | Kyung Kuk Kang: Brasilia Elevated — Brasilia: vast-scale, planned capital city inaugurated by the president Kubitschek in 1960, is the city built for automobiles following the modernist city planning principles. Wing-Axis highways that run through the entire city from north to south, Superquadra apartment neighborhood units which serve huge portions of citizens who live distant apart, the city Brasilia was designed to have an efficient circulation around the city with segregation of different sectors.
