Over an eight-month period I have endeavored to explore Genoa’s well-kept (and sometimes unkempt) treasures. My design methodology is an architectural form of narrative collage inspired by the writing of Italo Calvino and Bruno Schulz. The city is understood as a dense space of intertwined and overlapping stories that can be (re)written using alternative narratives that reveal essential qualities of the city without relying on what may be considered strictly factual.”

The radical transformation in the family structure, in gender roles, social inequality, mass migration and temporality have demanded the search for a new mode of living for the new domestic entity – The Post-Internet Nomad. A globalized entity unattached to conventionalisms and traditions whom, without feeling the need of pertinence or attachment displaces from city to city according to his labor or demands.

There is cultural diversity, diversity of thought, diversity of origin, the list grows, and the way diversity is perceived is equally complex. In the context of Texas A&M University there have been initiatives to put diversity at the forefront of the school’s agenda.
